GMC were asked to come in and advise on a private country estate. GMC worked out a long term maintance plan to work along side a phased up-grade and refurbishment project. The maintanance plan works on a monthly programme addressing the needs of the building and preventing building weathering and damage at an early stage.

With the maintanance programme in operation GMC set about the long term up-grades starting with the buildings outer fabric, addressing the worst of the roof coverings first, below is a complete re-roof of one the outer buildings providing securing the building for the long term. GMC salvaged over 80% of the existing slates both reducing the works costs and retaining the original aesthetics of the building.

With the sheer size of this property and currently depending on Oil fired heating, GMC are looking at options available to lower the monthly running costs by looking a scheme with heating and hot water from a renewable source.
