With Winter on its way, GMC have been busy installing Wood/Multi burners across the borders.
They are proven as exceptionaly efficent sources of heat for your home. Burning at over 80% effeciency compared to around 40% for an open fire.
The Example above required the removal of an un-efficent open gas fire place and the removal of the flue and surround.
The chimney breast extended out to form the Ingle Nook for the stove sit and to house the concealed flue.
Black lime stone slates and matching black slate tiles were all sourced and fitted by GMC building Contractors.
GMC were also able to provide a custom fire guard with this inistallation, manufactured to fold neatly with the ingle nook (as shown in picture)
